Being a succesful singer is a dream for many people. But is life in the spotlight really that great?
And can it be combined with believing in God?
On  April 14  the book ‘From glory to Glory’ from  Rachel Spier will be published at Scholten Publishers. The book tells a personal life story from a singer who knows what it's like to perform for a full Ahoy.
But also knows what it is to place your life into God's hands. " I found out that living in the spotlights is almost impossible without God ".

The Haarlem singer scored a big hit in the nienties with the happy hardcore song "Children of the night ". The song received a number 2 listing in the top 40 and Rachel performed in Ahoy for thousands of fans. Life in the spotlights was fantastic but it also had a downside. In her book she gives the reader a vulnerable glimpse into her private life.

The highs and lows, but also the moments when God did special things time and time again.

Back to Jesus

For a long time a familiar relationship was a long way off for Rachel. She had been brought up in the church but her faith was faded into background. She got into a relationship with which she had two children. But the relationship did not last. In the difficult time afther the breakup she found Jesus again.
A choice that completely changed her life and put everything in a different " spotlight ".

Miracle after miracle

Rachel Spier tells in her book about various situations in which God performed miracle after miracle. In small and big things. In an accessible writing style she takes you along in the search for a house, her daughter's school admission and miraculous healings. In doing so she quotes Bible verses and encourages the reader again and again to trust in God.
" The safest place is to be in is independence of Him ". It's not the easiest place, but it's the best! "
